What’s new: deposits, payment links and a new customer record

by Rita Costa
8 July, 2026

Here’s everything we shipped between April and June 2026. The headline is deposits, alongside new ways to collect unpaid balances and a fuller customer record.

At a glance

  • Deposits for activities and accommodation
  • Deposit details on product pages
  • Update and resend payment links on unpaid bookings
  • Take payment for unpaid items from the dashboard booking flow
  • A redesigned customer record
  • Edit customers’ question packs and view questionnaires by party
  • Accommodation bookings in the calendar’s all-day section
  • Tidier schedules, with fewer stray sessions

Bookings and payments

Deposits

Customers can now pay a deposit at checkout and the balance later. You choose which activities and accommodation offer it, and set a percentage or a fixed amount. Deposits are only offered when the booking is far enough ahead, so nobody pays a deposit the day before, and we send reminder emails to pay the balance.

If a basket mixes deposit and non-deposit items, customers still check out once. Since May, product pages also show when a deposit is available. Contact us to switch deposits on for your business.

Payment links and unpaid items

You can now update and resend a payment link on a booking that hasn’t been paid. Before, once a link had gone out, the booking couldn’t be edited through checkout.

You can also take payment yourself from the unpaid items list. If a customer turns up without paying, open the item, resume the basket in the dashboard booking flow and take cash or use the card reader. Unpaid store items now show in the list too, where you can check their status or copy a payment link.

Your customers

A fuller customer record

The customer record in your dashboard has been redesigned. It holds more information about each customer, covers everything they can buy from you and has tabs to switch between views. From there you can see unpaid items and follow a link to finish the checkout.

Questionnaires

Your team can now update incomplete question packs on a customer’s behalf, which helps when someone phones with an answer or can’t get online. A new View party questionnaires link shows the questionnaires for a single party, grouped by party member, so you can check a group is ready before it arrives.

Calendar and schedules

Accommodation in the all-day section

Accommodation bookings now appear in the all-day section of the calendar’s week and day views. They’re easy to scan without pushing your sessions out of view.

Tidier schedules

When you change a product’s schedule, eola now also moves or removes empty sessions you had closed with Disable further bookings, so they don’t clutter the calendar. Booked sessions and sessions with a custom note are still left alone.

If a session can’t be moved, for example because it’s in someone’s basket, you can remove it with the Delete session button on its Manage tab. Only recently started checkouts now hold a session in place.

Smaller improvements

  • Membership discounts now apply to the base price of activities and stays that include a set number of guests, whatever the group size.
  • Customers’ memberships in their eola account show when each one ends, and cancelled ones move to View past memberships.
  • Saved customer details are easier to read when the dashboard checkout highlights an existing customer.
  • Click a store item purchase to see the basket it was bought in.
  • Membership totals now ignore archived plans, so the total matches the plans you can see.
