You can book surfing, coasteering, kayaking and paddleboarding with Big Green Adventures, Surf Sanctuary, Coastal Rush and Koru Kayaking. South West Lakes Trust Trout Fishing sells permits for Stithians, Siblyback and Colliford, and Stithians Lake Activity Centre runs sailing courses. Surf lessons with Big Green Adventures start from £48 per person, as do its kayak and SUP lesson tours. SUP taster lessons start from £40 and coasteering from £58 per person. Private Big Green sessions are priced per group, from £85.
Trout fishing permits start from £15 for an evening ticket and £8 for a child day permit. Helford River cruises are £40 per person and laser tag starts from £15.
Coasteering with Coastal Rush and Surf Sanctuary has dates from November to March, as do Surf Sanctuary's surf and kayak sessions and Big Green Adventures' private sessions. Trout fishing permits, swim coaching and laser tag also have winter dates. Giant Slip & Slide Cornwall, Mega Slip and Slide Cornwall and Siblyback Lake Activity Centre are not on sale right now.
Koru Kayaking takes children from age 6 on Helford trips and from age 10 at St Agnes, and children aged 14 and under share a kayak with an adult. Surf Sanctuary recommends a minimum age of 10 for kayak touring. SUP hire with Cornish coast adventures is for over-12s. Children aged 2 and under go free on Helford River Cruises, and child fishing permits are available.
For surfing, paddleboarding and kayaking, bring swimwear, a towel and sunscreen. Kayaking with Big Green Adventures also needs enclosed footwear such as wetsuit boots or trainers. For coasteering, bring trainers, and Big Green asks for an old pair of shorts to wear over your wetsuit. For swim coaching, bring swimwear, a swim hat, goggles, a towel or dryrobe and warm clothes. On river cruises, bring warm clothing.
