Pre-season prep: Improve your listings ahead of the summer!

11 March, 2025

The busy summer season is just around the corner! To make sure your business is set up for success and ready to welcome your customers, it's time for some simple but essential checks in your eola account.

Here’s your quick guide to ensure your profile, activity listings, images, and integrations are perfectly polished.

1. Update your centre settings

Your centre settings contain all the key information customers need to find and contact you. Go to Toolset → Centre settings to confirm your details are current.

  • Contact information: Double-check your phone number, email address, and physical location details.
  • Branding images: Make sure you have added your logo and cover images. These visuals represent your brand across booking widgets, emails, and promotional materials.
  • Child age settings: Double-check your maximum child age settings. This helps families know if activities are suitable for their children.

Here's an example of one of the places where your logo and cover image are displayed:

2. Improve your product descriptions

Go to Products → Activities/Rentals → Edit and review your activity descriptions. Make sure to incorporate these go-to rules:

  • Keep it short and clear: Avoid duplication from your website. Provide essential details to help customers quickly choose activities. Focus on key information like what customers will experience and any important details they must know.
  • Mobile-friendly descriptions: Over 80% of bookings come from mobile devices. Long paragraphs mean endless scrolling - trim your descriptions to essentials.
  • Limit direct contact details: Correctly set up, your listings should guide customers smoothly to booking, minimising unnecessary phone calls and admin tasks.

3. Make booking easy on your website

Make it simple and fast for customers to book with these quick tips:

  • Floating ‘Book Now’ button: Having the 'Book Now' button accessible on every page means that the customer can explore and book your offerings at any time. This ensures customers won't have to navigate back through your site after selecting a product, improving your conversion rates (Go to Toolset → Widget → My widgets → Select widget → Add widget to your site )
  • Direct widget link: Share this direct booking link on social media or add it as a clear button on your website. It provides a focused, distraction-free booking experience.
  • Direct product links: These links send customers directly to a specific activity or product in your booking widget, reducing clicks and making booking quick and easy. This can come in handy if you have, for example, a paddleboarding page and you want to take customers straight to your paddleboarding activity.

4. Review your product images

Images are the not-so-secret conversion secret sauce! We've recently updated our activity card design, placing more emphasis on your images. They now occupy more space, in order to grab your customer's attention and show off the excitement behind the booking!

Make sure your pictures are clear, bright, and truly showcase your activities:

  • Choose high-quality, vibrant images that accurately represent your offerings.
  • Review your current images to ensure they look appealing in the new layout.
  • Follow our simple image guidelines to make sure your images display perfectly across all devices, attracting even more customers.
