There's no portaging, your Basingstoke Canal day licence is included, and you can borrow a board, paddle and buoyancy aid or bring your own. Solo paddlers are very welcome.

Yes. By the end of the Beginner 2hr Mixed Group Lesson you earn the PaddleUK Personal Performance Award Start Paddling certificate, a first step towards paddling independently.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Paddle SUP Company welcomes solo paddlers as well as families and friends, and the guided tours are a good way to meet other paddlers. Group lessons need at least three people to run; if numbers fall short, you'll be offered a one-to-one or private session, a new date or a credit voucher.
Do I need my own paddleboard?
Not for the pub paddle tour. You can borrow a board, paddle, buoyancy aid, dry bag and quick-release belt when you book, or bring your own kit. Your Basingstoke Canal day licence is included on the tour.
What should I bring?
