You can book canyoning, gorge walking and forest school sessions. RIPNROCK, based in Glynneath, runs canyoning and gorge walking. Cardiff International White Water runs a gorge walking trip that starts from Cardiff. Branching Out Forest School & Social Forestry runs Wild + Free Outdoors, a two-hour bushcraft session for children in Crickhowell.

Wild + Free Outdoors in Crickhowell is from £39.32 per person. Gorge walking with Cardiff International White Water is £40 per person. RIPNROCK's canyoning and gorge walking are £75 per person for a four-hour session.

RIPNROCK has canyoning and gorge walking dates between November and March, and asks you to bring a thin fleece in those months. Cardiff International White Water's gorge walking and the Crickhowell forest school sessions have no winter dates.

RIPNROCK's gorge walking has a minimum age of 7, and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult for canyoning and gorge walking. You need to be able to swim or doggy paddle 15 metres with a buoyancy aid. Cardiff International White Water's gorge walking is for ages 8 and up.

For RIPNROCK, bring swimwear, trainers or walking boots, a towel, old shorts to protect the wetsuit and any medication you need. Cardiff International White Water asks for a towel, swimwear, old trainers and refreshments for the day, as there is no shop nearby. For Wild + Free Outdoors, children need suitable footwear, layers for the weather and their own water.
