Ullswater Paddleboarding in Watermillock has paddleboard lessons, a kayak session on the lake, archery and hire. Genuine Adventures runs paddleboarding at Coniston and a guided walk up Coniston Old Man.

Archery at Ullswater Paddleboarding is from £20 per person and its kayak session is £35. Paddleboard lessons start from £40 per person at Paddleboard The Lakes and Ullswater Paddleboarding, and Genuine Adventures' intro session at Coniston is £42. The Dragon Board and Giant Multi-Person Board start from £60 per group. The Coniston Old Man guided walk is £50 per person.
Paddleboard The Lakes has winter dates for paddleboard and kayak hire, the Dragon Board and the Giant Multi-Person Board. Genuine Adventures has dates between November and March for its Coniston paddleboarding sessions and the Coniston Old Man guided walk. Ullswater Paddleboarding has no winter dates, and OWM Adventures and Arnside Sailing Club are not on sale right now.
At Ullswater Paddleboarding, archery is for ages 7 and up and the paddleboard lesson and kayak session are for ages 8 and up, with under 18s accompanied by an adult. Paddleboard The Lakes' family lesson is for ages 8 and up and its adult lessons are 18+. Genuine Adventures' group paddleboard sessions are for ages 13 and up, with private sessions recommended for ages 10 to 12.
For paddleboarding and kayaking, bring a towel and a change of clothes and shoes, and dress for all weathers. Genuine Adventures also asks for a swimming costume, old shorts to wear over the wetsuit and good fitting shoes, not flip flops. For the Coniston Old Man walk, bring walking boots, a rucksack of at least 20 litres, lunch, at least 2 litres of water and waterproofs.
