Come and join Way of the Wild and celebrate Litha - Summer Solstice in the ways of our ancestors.
Description
This relaxed celebration will take place in the ancient grounds of the atmospheric Sorbie Tower, a Scottish Tower house which is the ancestral seat of Clan Hannay, situated just outside Sorbie village, on the way to the coastal village of Garlieston in South Machars.
Whilst reconnecting with nature in this beautiful setting, we will begin the celebrations at 4.00am, welcoming Litha by watching the sunrise from the ancient Sorbie Motte, dating back to the 9th Century. Following this there will be a number of activities for you to dip in and out of as you see fit, or enjoy all of them.
- Deep Breathwork & Guided Meditation
- Sit spots
- Fire Circle, Community, Reflection, Folklore Tales
- Wholesome Breakfast cooked over the fire
- Solstice Fire Circle & Ceremony - Intention setting
- Natural Crafting - Make your very own Willow Solstice Crown or Touchwood Amulet to take away
- Midsummer foraging amble around the grounds and quiet country lanes with wild food treats to sample along the way.
Come and join Way of the Wild and celebrate the turning of the Wheel of the Year and some Midsummer Magic.
Limited Camping is available on Midsummers Eve at Sorbie Tower, with use of Toilets & Showers and the bothy kitchen for £10 per person, per night for campervans (no electric hook up) or tents.
