Paddle for Children in Need

Description

Paddle with Pudsey's and raise some money for Children in Need . Register using this booking system and donate some money to paddle with us, that way we expect you and have enough instructors. You must be competent to paddle on your own, even though we are around as you may decide you have had a enough and want to return back on your own. It is on the canal so super safe and low flow and lots of walkers around.

As the Thames is not suitable for paddling at the moment ( too fast) we will be paddling on the Grand Union Canal from the Aquadrome in Rickmansworth.

We will be on the water for 3.5 hours total, including breaks. Paddle at your speed and distance and you can rest and relax when you need to. It is there and back trip, lots of portages, you need to be able to paddle and be fit as could be up to 9 miles- but you don't have to go that far.

As the theme this year for Children in Need is SPOTecular, you can wear something spotty over your warm clothing. Boards are available at a cost. The event is free just donate straight to our Children In need Pudsey paddle just giving link. If you want to swap suits and paddle in Pudsey outfit, just say the word on the day and so be it!

Requirements

Be ready to set sail at 8.30am, the safety briefing will be just before this time. Leave 30 - 40 minutes to inflate your board and at least 20 minutes if you are bringing a board to prepare yourself.

What to bring

Dress according the weather and bring everything you need. maybe a small container to collect money when we portage! BBC Children in Need.

Make sure you have donated something to this page
