What to bring

All specialist equipment for activities like archery, axe throwing, laser tag, mountain biking, and air rifle shooting is provided by The Outdoor Ed School. Students just need to come dressed ready to explore, learn, and have fun.

- During and after wet weather we advise you wear wellies or an old pair of shoes. (Don’t come in your best footwear as they will get muddy)

- You must bring any medication they need.

- Drinking water is essential. Bring a bottle with you!

- Snacks (fruit & chocolate).

Itinerary

Arrival and Check-In

Arrive at Spratts Down Woodland, where our team will greet you at the top of the track and sign your child in. We will then escort your child down to our activity site to get ready for the day.

Parents are welcome to join their child for the first session; however, we’ve found that children gain the most confidence and engagement when they are able to participate independently.

Safety Briefing and Gear Up

Before activities begin, our instructors will provide a brief safety overview and demonstrate the correct use of all equipment. This ensures every child is fully prepared and confident for the day ahead.

Activity Time

Children take part in a variety of engaging outdoor challenges, from bushcraft and archery to laser tag and mountain biking, designed to build confidence, teamwork, and social skills.

Wrap-Up and Celebration

At the end of the session, we gather to celebrate achievements, share stories, and award points or scores from the day’s activities. It’s a great way for children to reflect on their progress and have fun with friends.

Departure

We will walk your child back up the track to meet you at the top. This helps us limit traffic on our single-lane track and ensures a smooth, safe pick-up for everyone.
