Porthcawl Surf School

As an intermediate surfer looking to improve, I took the four-week improver course at Porthcawl Surf School. The course was led by Emma, who is a fantastic coach! Her enthusiasm for surfing was infectious and she had a real knack for breaking down technique in ways that clicked for each of us. Despite our mixed abilities, Emma gave personalised feedback that helped us all progress. The local knowledge about local surf conditions was invaluable too. Great value for money and I'd highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to level up their surfing.

Had a great group beginners session with Emma to refresh my memory on the basics and learn some of them better than I had before. Was a great first surfing in UK experience and look forward to coming back to that beach for more time practicing on my own over the summer. They provide hire equipment for 4 hour sessions.

They also have longer progressive courses over several weeks I think but haven't looked much into them yet
