Canoe Rental

Open Canoe rental on the River. Rental includes paddling equipment and bouyancy aid based on the River Stort.

Our paddling sessions are there and back paddle sessions from our base at Kecksys Farm Marina. Cm219bz.

If you require additional instruction in paddling we recommend our guided paddling session or book a guide for your trip to help you on your paddling session and assist with boats at locks.

Sessions are self guided we are a short walk along the towpath from Sawbridgeworth Railway Station with regular trains from London and Cambridge.

You will need to be able to move boats at locks and carry all equipment on short portages at each lock. An ability to self rescue to the waters edge in case of a capsize is essential to this activity.

We recommend that you have a change of clothing available at your car which you can leave at the base while you paddle

we recommend Jogging / gym type kit, swimming wear type clothing in summer. We advise that you bring a waterproof dry bag for any phones and keys you take on the trip.
