Whoosh Explore

Whoosh Explore is a community canoe club and adventure paddling organisation; based on the River Stort at Kecksys Farm Marina in Sawbridgeworth. It is within easy reach of London via road and rail links from Liverpool Street Station.

We offer canoe and kayak rentals and a range of adventure tours in paddle sport; from pub paddles, to taster sessions, trips and development skills in canoes and kayaks as well as bespoke paddling experiences for groups.

Our Pub paddles offer informal coaching and guiding as well as family sessions in canoes or kayaks for parents with younger paddlers.

We have a fleet of Canoes, Kayaks and Paddleboards that allow us to offer unique experience days, tours and trips for individuals, groups, families and friends looking for a paddling adventure.

We have a strong membership of regular paddlers who look after the local river environment with support projects to improve the River Stort catchment. Whoosh run taster sessions and boat hire to help fund community water sports education, as well as weekly sessions on flat and white water offering development for paddlers.

Whoosh Explore offer unique experiences with the advantage over many other 'centre based’ activity providers is that we can bring an adventure to a stretch of river to suit your requirements delivering a bespoke adventure for you; ranging from birthday parties on the river, to a fully equipped wilderness expedition with camping on route.

You can also develop new skills or step up into white water paddling as part of our club.
