  • Book an extended session (2 hours) in the osprey hide to photograph our amazing ospreys

    Description

At a discounted rate for Wildlife Trust Members, take advantage of an extra long session to get the perfect photo of the ospreys using our specially modified hide. The hide is just 140m from the nest and is fitted with comfy seats, lens gimbals, 1 way glass and snoods for long lenses and scopes. North Wales Wildlife Trust staff will be on hand with advice, up to date information about the birds and their behaviour.

Your information will be passed to the North Wales Wildlife Trust, solely to enable them to manage your booking and shall not be shared or used in any other capacity.

Please note that due to the risk of disturbance, dogs are not permitted. Visitors must also respect the need to speak quietly when near the nest. Noise that could disturb the ospreys is not permitted.

This activity is weather permitting, and may be cancelled under certain conditions such as high winds.

    Requirements

No previous knowledge or experience is required

    What to bring

The hide is furnished with two telescopes (already preset on the nest and camera perch) and binoculars. Although you are more than welcome to bring your own binoculars.

    Itinerary

Follow the brown road signs to the Lyn Brenig Visitor Centre, where you should check in at reception in the foyer. A map and directions for the hide will be given to you by reception. You will need to drive along the private Llyn Brenig road (approximately 15 minutes) to reach the hide located in a restricted fenced area. Please park your car in the area in front of the fence, where North Wales Wildlife stewards will be waiting to greet you.
