Following the Elan Valley Trail, enjoy a guided bike ride to Pen y Garreg dam where you’ll be able to explore inside the dam and up the central tower!


Your guide will share their knowledge of the fascinating history about the dams. This tour is suitable for all riders with basic cycling abilities wanting to enjoy the history of the dams whilst out in the fresh Elan Valley air.


Please be aware, there are a number of steps to get into the dam, which can be uneven and damp underfoot. The steps inside the dam may be wet and in some areas there are low light levels and narrow corridors. Children should be carefully supervised at all times.

We reserve the right to cancel if the minimum booking of 5 is not met.


This Guided bike ride is suitable for families with cycling experience.



What to bring

Please note; appropriate footwear and clothing for the activity/weather conditions will be required. If bringing your own equipment; please ensure your helmet is of British Standard and your own tools/repair kit are suitable for your own bike.


We also have bike hire available at an additional cost.
