Elan Valley Visitor Centre

We missed the coffee shop as we were late arriving but the history and beauty of the place is just stunning!! Fantastic views too!!

Beautiful place. It was quite startling to see how much the water level has dropped following a hot summer, but besides that the scenery was stunning and we'll worth another visit when the windows blowing and the rain is pouring.

I’m reviewing the bike ride…. I started off at Rhayader village at the official start of the trail. An amazing and fairly easy going route passing the dams and reservoirs. Near the end it’s quite steep and I had to have a couple of breaks but then I had about 10 mins of downhill all the way back to my starting point. Was a glorious sunny day when I went and was really quiet and peaceful. Suitable for most abilities (if you discount the very steep part near the end) Highly recommended 🚴 🌞 🏕️🗻
