Workshop Schedule

ROBOT HAND – 29th july

Come and learn a bit about how your hands work by turning your own hand into a robot using materials like paper, string, tape and drinking straws, to construct a hand and then use it to see if you can pick things up!

MAKE YOUR OWN FOSSIL- 26th August

Step back in time and make your own fossils from things you can find at home.

You can then put in the garden or to bury for someone else to find.

BOTTLE ROCKETS – 19th august

Why not design, build and fire your own rocket made using a pop bottle, card, tape and not forgetting rocket fuel!!

And hopefully we can have lift off (weather permitting)

ANIMAL TRACK IDENTIFICATION – 22nd July

Come and see what tracks some animals have left behind and try and match them up with the right animal.

We will play a game and learn some tracks you might find here in the Elan Valley. Then we will go for a walk through the wood to see what tracks and other animal signs we are able to find!

FUN SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS – 5th august

We will do some fun science experiments and tricks like

1. How to put an egg in a bottle without touching it
2. Coin inertia
3. How strong is a piece of paper
4. Make your own eco-friendly slime

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON – 12th august

Think you have want it takes to train a fire breathing dragon?

1. Join us in making your own dragon using household items and turn yourself into a dragon.
