Morning paddle to Lock and Latte cafe

Enjoy a paddle on the River Stort for adults and accompanied children over 8 years old.

This trip is in single person kayaks, paddleboards or canoes and offers a great introduction to paddling combined with a cafe stop for a mid paddle rest, an ice cream stop or coffee break to complete your adventure.

Our experienced guides will lead your adventure starting at Kecksys Farm Marina and taking you through some of the scenic Hertfordshire countryside offering a short journey with easy paddling, a portage around a traditional lock and on to a local cafe for a break, with teas coffees and cake a short distance from the river to refuel with light refreshments in preparation for the return journey. It's sure to be an adventure unlike any other!

Join our cafe themed adventure at Whoosh Explore in Sawbridgeworth.

(We offer this paddle in kayaks - single person boats or canoes for two person canoes.

You will need to be responsible at all times for all members of your paddling group whilst on the water. Paddlers will need to be able to swim a short distance and be water confident in case of a capsize.

There will be carrying of equipment at the start of the session at the mid point around a lock and our store to put equipment away at the end of each journey.

Please bring a change of clothes suitable trainers and waterproofs and money for a drink and snack at a local riverside cafe. We also recommend bringing a dry bag to keep small items such as keys and phone safe and dry.

A paddling session on the River Stort between Kecksys Farm Marina and Sheering mill or Spellbrook lock stopping to enjoy a country cafe visit on route, offering a great opportunity to explore the river. Please note that we have no changing or toilet facilities available on site at this time. We plan to meet at our riverside location which is a short walk along the river Stort from Sawbridgeworth Station

We also have car parking area on site for the start of your adventure.
