Swim and transition practice on the actual course

Description

An opportunity to prepare for the Vitruvian Triathlon.

Perfect for anyone who hasn't done a triathlon before or those who want to practice a swim circuit and transition as "race prep" for on-the-day experience.

What's the format?

  1. An opportunity to practice/orientate yourself to the transition area and exits..
  2. An opportunity to swim one circuit of the actual course with a small group "race start" and "race exit", practising your sighting and wetsuit off swim transition.

The whole session will be 1.5hr including a single circuit swim - weather permitting (Swim start 6:15pm prompt).

Mary will be giving coaching/giving advice on transitions and swim approach and Paul (Race Director) will be there to answer any of your pre-race questions.

Excellent for newbies and those a little nervous of what to expect as well as more seasoned athletes just wanting a swim/transition run through on the actual course.

Itinerary

A "wet run" for the Vitruvian swim and transition!

Three of us attended the Introduction to open water swimming this week. Absolutely brilliant! All of us were nervous, Mary made us feel at ease & confident in the water. What an amazing evening swimming in Rutland water. ...

A wonderful facility with knowledgeable and helpful staff members. It is available to people requiring rehabilitation/ support in addition to athletes and I would thoroughly recommend attending.
