A fun and education session for young pool swimmers to learn abut safe open water swimming
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING
Focussed on the 8-12 age group, this session introduces young swimmers to the essentials of open water, including cold water awareness, recognising hazards, safe entry and exit techniques, and what to do if they get into difficulty. Open water is very different from a swimming pool, and learning these lifesaving skills can help children to build confidence and resilience to swim safely in open water.
All swimmers must be accompanied by an on-shore parent or guardian.
We will not venture too far from the shore and will have in-water swimmers and canoe /boat support to adapt to the response of the swimmers and ensure everyone is safe and has the best opportunity to learn to swim well in open water.

A wonderful facility with knowledgeable and helpful staff members. It is available to people requiring rehabilitation/ support in addition to athletes and I would thoroughly recommend attending.
