45 Minute Ski Beginner Ski Lesson

Come and join us for a FREE Beginner Ski Lesson to help us gather new material to promote Alpine Snowsports. By join this session you will need to agree that you will allow Everyone Active/Rushmoor Borough Council to use the images and video's captured for social media and advertising purposes. On arrival you will be required to complete a Photography consent form.

Ready to take your first steps on the slopes? Join our – Discover Skiing session, designed for adventurers aged 16 and above! In this 45 minute group lesson, you'll embark on an exciting journey to discover the thrill of skiing.

Here's what's included in your Discovery lesson:

1. Get to Grips with Skis and Boots: We'll help you familiarise yourself with your skis and boots, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident before hitting the slopes.
2. Take Your First Run: Head out to the slope and experience the exhilaration of your first run! Our experienced instructors will guide you every step of the way.
3. Learn Balancing and Sliding Basics: Master the basics of balancing and sliding, setting the foundation for your skiing journey.

Age 8 - 15

All participants must have;

1. Gloves
2. Long sleeves
3. Long trousers
4. Dress for the weather as we are outdoors.

We recommend long socks and loose trousers for ski boot comfort

In this lesson you will learn about;

1. How to put on your boots
2. Heading out to the slope
3. Learn the ski from tip to tail
4. Putting on and taking off skis
5. How to walk around
6. Learn how to sidestep up the slope
7. Get ready for your first run down
8. Tweak and improve your posture to be balanced over your skis
9. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the session start time.
