Permit for catch and release trout fishing
On the edge of Dartmoor National Park, the trout fishery at Burrator is one of the most tranquil and picturesque natural angling venues in the South West. The area comprises a unique combination of striking tors, open moorland, history and wildlife – from a nature reserve to the remains of the Princetown Railway. Expect impressive views and a fantastic range of flora and fauna!
Fishing is available from bank or boat. Fly fishing from the bank is for stocked rainbow trout. There is a good head of natural brown trout to 4lbs which are catch and release only.
There are two fishing boats which are managed by the Burrator Fly Fishers and can only be used by club members. To join the club or for more information, please email treasurer.bffa@gmail.com, visit the website, or follow the club on Facebook.
