Zero to Hero - 4 week Wingsurf course

These sessions will start with learning to fly the wing on the land and then progressing onto wing surfing (using the wing on a large windsurf board with a daggerboard). Together these sessions provide the fundamentals of wing control, translating its power into forward momentum and steering, whilst reinforcing the core skills of board balance to enable you to travel across the wind a short distance, gybe and return to starting point.

Over 4 weeks, you will gain experience and skills to enable you to steer, wing upwind and downwind and will set you up to progress onto the more advanced wingFOILing.

Footwear is mandatory (ideally wetsuits boots/shoes or old trainers will do)

Wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets provided

Minimum age 17

Requirements

Customer must be water confident wearing a buoyancy aid.

A digital disclaimer form must be completed for all participants before arrival

Buoyancy aids/ impact vests and helmets will be provided by us and must be worn correctly and always fastened when on the water (Customers may not wear their own buoyancy aid’s or helmets)

What to bring

Suitable footwear which you don’t mind getting wet such as wetsuit shoes/boots, old trainers, beach shoes. Flip flops/crocs are not suitable.

We also recommend bringing (as appropriate); coat, sun hat / cream, warm clothes and a towel.

Wetsuits can be provided for no additional charge or you can bring your own.

On arrival head to the Activity Centre reception to check-in

1. Make sure you arrive in good time and have signed all relevant disclaimers and medical declarations in advance.
2. Check in at the Activity Centre reception.
3. Changing rooms and lockers are available.
4. Meet your instructor outside Reception.
