    Nick's Learn to Olympic Lift programmes: 6-session progressive course (6 x 1hr) Training with plenty of coaching 1-1 and in your pairs in the context of learning as a group of 6.


    Assessment and work on various basic barbell movements, eg squats, overhead squats, presses, deadlifts are covered


    Demands embraced and learned within Olympic lifting: Base of strength, power; control in order to increase your maximum power generated in each lift.


    Olympic lifting has a great transfer of training for sports, due to the power, emphasis on speed of the barbell, and precision of movement.







    Requirements

    Minimum baseline prerequisite of deadlifting bodyweight on the bar for 5RM, and good hip and shoulder mobility & stability, 15-20kg overhead barbell strict press for 5 reps feeling relatively easy. If in any doubts drop Nick a line!

    What to bring

    Water bottle, sweat towel, Suitable indoor gym training shoes, any change of kit and shower items as desired.

    Itinerary

    A 6-week course of 6 sessions (approx 1hr each) within a group of 3, all levels welcome * pre-requisites.


    The objective is to become safe, confident and competent at the lifts - either or both Snatch / Clean & Jerk.

    The goal is to become a lifelong learner with enjoyment of all that Olympic lifting has to offer!

    Pushing the load comes after honing great technique, and Nick's clients regularly go on to push it on the load and PB!


    Includes 'homework' to do during the course to maximise progression, and also a personalised program to continue progressing with following the course completion. You'll be paired up on 3 platforms with kit, 1 working, 1 resting at a time.
