Description

This 2 day RYA Adult Level 2 Sailing course will consolidate skills learnt in RYA Level 1 Sailing, build confidence and improve boat handling skills in both single and double handed sailing dinghies.


Sessions will take place over 2 consecutive Sundays, 7th and 14th June 09:30-16:30, the date booked will be the first session of the course.


During this course you’ll develop your skills in rigging, launching, sailing in all directions, and capsize recovery. You’ll also learn essential safety knowledge and gain more independence afloat. By the end of the course, you will be working towards achieving your RYA Level 2 certificate, giving you the skills to sail confidently in a wider range of conditions.


RYA Logbook not included but can be added to your booking for £7




Requirements

Participants should have previously completed RYA Level 1 or be of equivalent sailing ability.


Suitable for ages 17 +


Customer must be water confident wearing a buoyancy aid.


A digital disclaimer form must be completed for all participants before arrival


Buoyancy aids will be provided by us and must be worn correctly and always fastened when on the water (Customers may not wear their own buoyancy aid’s or helmets)



What to bring

  1. Suitable footwear which you don’t mind getting wet such as wetsuit shoes/boots, old trainers, beach shoes. Flip flops/crocs are not suitable.
  2. Wetsuits are provided but you are also welcome to bring your own.
  3. Swimsuit and towel
  4. We also recommend bringing (as appropriate); waterproof coat, sun hat / cream, warm clothes.

On arrival head to the Activity Centre reception to check-in
