What to bring

Buoyancy aids of at least 50N (Personal floatation devices) must be worn by all water users, unless you are over 18 and competent in the prevailing conditions in the following disciplines:

• A windsurfer wearing a harness

• Wingfoiler with leash to board and wing (impact vest and helmet recommended)

• A rowing skull

SUP users must wear a personal floatation device such as a Buoyancy aid and use a board leash at all times. SUP PFD Belts are allowed.

Buoyancy aids can be hired from the watersports centre for additional cost if required.

Always dress appropriately for the conditions e.g. winter wetsuits or dry suits to be worn Nov-April. As it can be rocky/muddy around the lake we recommend you wear some suitable footwear.

I had three wing/foil lessons here, great fun and very helpful. The only disappointment was that somehow the cafe was always closed when I finished the lesson - would have been great to have a hot drink and cake in there
