Kids RYA Stage 2 sail course

Description

This course will be delivered on 18 and 19 August from 09.30-1600 on each day


Course content will include improved sailing skills on all points of sail, tacking, gybing, ropework and collision avoidance. On completion of this course participants should have built confidence sailing, tacking, gybing and have improved boat control and speed.


Logbook and certificate included.












Requirements

Participants must have already completed the RYA Stage 1 sailing course


Customer must be water confident wearing a buoyancy aid.


A digital disclaimer form must be completed for all participants before arrival.


Buoyancy aids and helmets will be provided by us and must be worn correctly and always fastened when on the water (Customers may not wear their own buoyancy aid’s or helmets)



What to bring

  1. Suitable footwear which you don’t mind getting wet such as wetsuit shoes/boots, old trainers, beach shoes. Flip flops/crocs are not suitable.
  2. Wetsuits can be provided or you can bring your own.
  3. Swimsuit and a towel.
  4. We also recommend bringing (as appropriate); waterproof coat, sun hat / cream, warm clothes.


Itinerary

On arrival head to the Activity Centre reception to check-in


Drop off is 09.30 and children will need collecting at 16:00 parents do not need to stay onsite during the session but you are welcome to stay and watch from the comfort of the cafe.
