2 Day RYA Level 1 Sailing Course

This 2 day RYA Sailing course will cover the basics of the sport and include some theory aspects alongside the practical. The course will cover how to sail in all directions, including an awareness of launching and recovering. On completion of this course participants should be able to sail in light winds under supervision.

Sessions will take place over 2 consecutive Sundays, 13th and 20th September 09:30-16:30, the date booked will be the first session of the course.

Logbook and certificate also included.

No previous sailing knowledge or experience is required to attend this course.

Suitable for ages 17 +

Customer must be water confident wearing a buoyancy aid.

A digital disclaimer form must be completed for all participants before arrival

Buoyancy aids will be provided by us and must be worn correctly and always fastened when on the water (Customers may not wear their own buoyancy aid’s or helmets)

1. Suitable footwear which you don’t mind getting wet such as wetsuit shoes/boots, old trainers, beach shoes. Flip flops/crocs are not suitable.
2. Wetsuits are provided but you are also welcome to bring your own.
3. Swimsuit and towel
4. We also recommend bringing (as appropriate); waterproof coat, sun hat / cream, warm clothes.

Days will run 9.30-16.00
