Kayak - Taster Session

• Learn how the kayak equipment works before heading onto the water
• Paddle in a straight line and practise turning on the Hamble River
• Practise recovering yourself safely if you take a tumble
• Build confidence on the water with a qualified instructor

Curious about kayaking but not sure where to start? Our Kayak Taster Session is the perfect way to dip your toe in (literally) and give it a go, in a safe, friendly and supportive environment.

Our qualified instructor-led sessions on the beautiful Hamble River will see you standing and paddling with confidence by the end of your hour on the water.

Your 1-hour session is split into clearly defined sections. You’ll start by developing an understanding of the equipment then move on to essential skills such as turning, paddling in a straight line, and even how to safely recover yourself if you take a tumble. It’s a fun and relaxed way to build confidence and get a great taste of what kayaking is all about.

Please arrive 20 minutes before your booked session to allow time to sign in, get changed, and meet your instructor.
