Explore Gower with Outdoor Explore Wales.

This stand up paddleboard fishing trip starting on Gower will last 5+ hrs. It's a novice-friendly activity. A small group trip (6 people max), allowing all to enjoy, relax, paddle, and try and catch some mackerel!

The price is £65pp if you have your own paddleboard equipment.

You can hire full kit from us for £30, which includes:

The paddleboard, paddle, leash, buoyancy aid, waterproof jacket, and a dry bag. 

For this trip, we also provide everyone with a hand line with some feathers.

We can provide a wetsuit (£5 hire fee applies) at your request.

Any photos that we will take on the tour can be shared with you, for free, after the journey

In order to make our fishing trips financially viable, we need to have at least 3 people booked on to the tour.

We will endeavour to make the session go ahead by advertising the course, but if there are not enough bookings, we may have to rearrange the trip.

Participants should be water confident.

If you are bringing your own equipment, you will need a buoyancy aid, which you can hire for £5 if you don't have one

Bring some footwear (which will get wet) and appropriate clothes for the weather.

It's also a good idea to bring a small bottle of water, especially on a hot day.

Bring a packed lunch as we'll be out for a while!

After paddling out into the bay, we drop our lines and drift about, trying to catch some mackerel.

If we get lucky, we can cook them on the BBQ afterwards.
