    The Global Goals are the answer - translating SDGs into local realities. With Dr. Birgit Schreiber & Dr. Lisa Bardill Moscaritolo


    This Professional Development Programme focuses on translating the Sustainable Development Goals into local realities. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the SDGs, engage with their varying relevance and significance, and will learn and share about how to facilitate students becoming agents of social sustainable change to make the SDGs a reality for all.


    Dr Birgit Schreiber

    Birgit Schreiber (PhD) is an international consultant, trainer, and facilitator for higher education leadership has worked in senior leadership positions in Universities in South Africa, has served and read at universities in Europe and the USA, including the University of California, Berkeley, and KU Leuven, and is now a member of the Africa Centre for Transregional Research at the University of Freiburg, Germany. She serves on the executive of various national and international professional organizations and has published over 60 articles and chapters on topics of higher education, social justice, student affairs, student experience and higher education policy. She is Vice President of IASAS and the founding member of the accredited academic Journal of Student Affairs in Africa (JSAA), on the board of the Journal for College Student Development (JCSD) and the column editor of the Journal for College and Character (JCC).     Dr Lisa Bardill Moscaritolo

    Lisa Bardill Moscaritolo (PhD) is the Vice Provost for Student Life at the American University of Sharjah. Before moving to the United Arab Emirates, Lisa served as Associate Vice President for Student Affairs & Dean for Students at Pace University in New York for twelve years. Lisa is an advocate for increasing the knowledge, research, and practices of student affairs and services around the world and is a founding member and secretary-general for the International Student Affairs and Student Services (IASAS) organization, chartered in Brussels, Belgium in July 2013. She has served on a student affairs review team for the American University of Beirut in February 2020 and presented to the Philippines Association Practitioners in Student Affairs and Services in 2017 and 2020. Lisa serves as an international advisory board member of the Journal for Student Affairs Africa (JSAA). Lisa has served on several writing teams on the internationalization of student affairs/service practice and research and created the Global Summit for professionals and associations in student affairs and services and the Student Leader Global Summit.
