Enjoy a Kayak paddle on the River Stort for adults and accompanied children over 14 years old.

This trip is in single person kayaks and offers a great introduction to paddling combined with a pub stop to complete your adventure.

Our experienced guides will lead your adventure starting at Kecksys Farm Marina and taking you through some of the scenic Hertfordshire countryside offering a short journey with easy paddling, a portage around a traditional lock and on to a thatched pub with beer garden a short distance from the river Where we will take a break along the way to refuel with light refreshments. It's sure to be an adventure unlike any other! Whether you're looking for a unique activity for yourself or a fun outing for a group day out, this is one experience that shouldn't be missed. (We can also offer this paddle in canoes for two person canoes - via a separate booking on this website).

You will need to be responsible at all times for all members of your paddling group whilst on the water. Paddlers will need to be able to swim a short distance and be water confident in case of a capsize.

There will be carrying of equipment at the start of the session at the mid point around a lock and our store to put equipment away at the end of each journey.

Please bring a change of clothes suitable trainers and waterproofs and money for a drink and snack at a local riverside pub. We also recommend binging a dry bag to keep small items such as keys and phone safe and dry.

A paddling session on the River Stort between Kecksys Farm Marina and Spellbrook Locks or Bishops Stortford stopping to enjoy a country pub visit and an opportunity to explore the river. Please note that we have no changing or toilet facilities available at this time. We plan to meet at a riverside location which is a short walk from Sawbridgeworth Station
