About The Wing Surfing Intro Lesson (£50 Per Person, Max 6 Persons)

What exactly is Wing Surf, Wing Foil all about ? It's the latest growing water sport and coming to your beach soon...

If you have visited the coast recently you may have spotted hidden amongst the windsurfers and kite-surfers something different but very similar.. You'll see someone holding a wing not fixed to the board - its not a windsurf sail and its not a kite, it's a wing...

Look at this video to get an idea: https://youtu.be/kz-0QnJHM5A

As a certified RYA Wing Surfing & Wing Foiling Instructor I will teach you following the scheme outlined below (according to how far you wish to progress)

Starting with the wing surfing intro session

Wing Surfing Intro Lesson (£50 Per Person)

In the intro session we start with a land based 1 hour intro session to see if this sport is really for you. We will look at safety aspects of this great sport and how we handle a wing and self rescue, porting and managing our equipment and more....

After this we then follow the following syllabus for the water based lessons (bookable in 2 hour segments)

2 Hour Wing Surfing Water Lesson (£150 Per Person, Max 2 People)

This is where the fun really starts ...Wing surfing is basically using either a windsurf board or a stand up paddle board with a wing to get used to the basics of handling the wing and staying balanced. You will be taught "soft gybing" & "soft tacking" and "power tacking" and "power gybing" and "pumping" the wing to get your board planing and more..

Once you have these basics mastered we can then move you onto the "foiling" phase and you will now understand more readily why you needed the basics mastered in the wing surfing phase (as the wing surfing phase forms the foundation of the foiling stage

2 Hour Wing Foiling Water Lesson (£150 Per Person, Max 2 People)

Once you can achieve all of this we can then move you forward to the "foiling" stage where we introduce getting onto the foil and "sustained flights" and your pathway will progress from there with powered gybes and tacks and first jumps according to your ability

    More Details

The hours for each phase of training are essentially just estimates that don't factor in students previous / correlated experience in other wind related sports and therefore speed of progression within wing surfing / wing foiling.

    Location For Training

We are based near Chichester and therefore have access to a number of locations in and around this area for training purposes based upon tide / wind direction and student level. Once you book you will be informed of the location to meet for training the day before.

    Safety

Safety will be provided immediately by paddle board and / or safety boat according to tide / conditions. We may also use radio head sets in training to help you progress more readily.
