Difficulty level: Blue
This is a pretty and winding paddle through the marshes at the downstream end of the Stour Navigation. It is a blue paddle because it is somewhat exposed to wind and weather. We will paddle from Cattawade to the famous Flatford where we will stop for refreshments at the National Trust tearooms. When we have eaten them out of house and home we will set off back for Cattwade! All equipment is provided but if you would prefer to bring and use your own SUP board, please select it as an 'added extra' at the time booking to get a discount. If you are HUB member, please select the appropriate 'added extra' at the time of booking to get your discount. Thank you.
Please bring with you a small dry bag. You will need to carry a bottle of water, spare waterproof clothing, a snack bar, money for the café, any medications you may need and your phone in a waterproof pouch. If it’s sunny please bring an old baseball hat and sun cream. Paddling footwear must be worn.
If you need to cancel and want a refund, please do so within 48 hours of the start time of your booking.
Although we hope you don't need to cancel your booking, you can do so at any time up to 48 hours prior the start time of the booked SUP activity and receive a full refund. If you cancel within 48 hours of the start time of the booked SUP activity, or you are very late for or do not attend the booked SUP activity (i.e. a ‘no-show’) you will not receive a refund. Thanks for your understanding.
Please meet at the Cattawade Picnic Site carpark, off Bergholt Road, Brantham, Manningtree CO11 1QW. Please park considerately & keep noise levels to a minimum to not disturb the residents in the nearby cottages. Thank you.
