Self Launch Craft - 2hr

Launch your own paddle craft and take your adventure on to the water. Explore the Llys Y Fran Lake and see its spectacular scenery and wildlife from a different perspective. After a safety briefing and competency test you can set off on your journey.

Pricing is based on Per Craft, not Per Adult. The number of persons that can take part per craft is dependant on the craft capacity e.g. 2 person kayak means only two people can take part in the activity or a SUP is for one person only.

We reserve the right to withdraw access to the water if the conditions are not suitable or unsafe. Paddle craft permitted is limited to stand up paddle boards, kayaks and canoes.

When you arrive, please head straight to our Activity Centre Reception where our team will check you in and check over your craft. There is a wash down facility close to the Activity Centre where your craft must be washed down before use on the water.

6 to 7 Years Old: Can be on a craft but must be accompanied on the same craft with another paddler aged over 16. A guardian (18+) must be onsite and supervising from either the water or from the bank.

8 to 13 Years Old: Can paddle their own craft with someone over 16 supervising them, but they must also be on the water with a craft. A guardian (18+) must be onsite and supervising either from the water or from the bank.

14 to 17 Years Old: Can paddle their own craft on the water with a guardian (18+) supervising from the water or from the bank.

18+: Can use any craft on the water in line with our T&C’s.

Please be advised dogs are not permitted in or on the lake under any circumstances. Dogs must always remain on a lead when on site.

Ensure your equipment is fit for purpose and is washed down before use on our lake, this is to avoid contaminating the water. Please use the wash station at our Activity Centre.

1. When on the water a correctly fitting buoyancy aid must be worn at all times. Buoyancy aids can be hired for your session should you require any.

Before travelling to site we ask that you follow the current government advice and do not travel if you have any of the following symptoms:

1. A high temperature: this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature).

1. A new, continuous cough: this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).

1. A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste: this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

To ensure the safety of our customers and staff we ask you to sign a health declaration confirming you are free of symptoms.
