Bank Fishing - Half Day Rate

Try your hand at fly fishing from one our banks. With a regularly stocked lake of rainbow trout and native brown trout, you are in for a catch!


Permitted methods are fly-fishing and ledgered worm from the bank fishing areas and fly-fishing only from our new electric boats which can be hired.


Please ensure you have selected the Add On for your fishing permit which is additional to the fishing boat hire. Permits include:


  1. Adult Half Day @ £20.00: Maximum bag limit of two fish.


  1. Youth (16 Years and Under) Half Day @ £10.00: Maximum bag limit of one fish.


  1. Concessionary Half Day @ £15.00: Maximum bag limit of two fish.


Upon arrival, please sign in at our Visitor Centre Reception or Activity Centre Reception. Please ensure all consent forms and permits have been signed before your arrival. You will be advised to collect a return slip when you sign in as this feedback helps with our stocking.


Following your bag catch, you are welcome to continue fishing through catch and release using barbless hooks only. Permits are only permitted if you hold a valid NRW Rod Licence which you must show proof of when signing in.


Please be advised dogs are not permitted in or on the lake under any circumstances. Dogs must always remain on a lead when on site.



What to bring

We recommend you bring with you:


  1. Fishing equipment.
  2. Rod Licence.
  3. Sun cream.
  4. Bottle of water.


Important: Please ensure you have purchased an appropriate rod licence from NRW prior to arrival. You must show proof of the licence when signing in.

Requirements

Before travelling to site we ask that you follow the current government advice and do not travel if you have any of the following symptoms:


  1. A high temperature: this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature).


  1. A new, continuous cough: this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).


  1. A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste: this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.


To ensure the safety of our customers and staff we ask you to sign a health declaration confirming you are free of symptoms.

Cancellations

Llys Y Fran Cancellation Policy

Safety is our number one priority. In the event of poor weather conditions, for example; strong winds or thunder and lightning, we reserve the right to restrict water access to particular user groups, restrict the area available for activities, or close the lake. We will endeavour to give advance notice whenever possible, however, some decisions need to be made at short notice.


In the case where the lake is needed to be closed, we will endeavour to notify all customers to offer the opportunity to reschedule their session or receive a refund. We will also ensure the message is shared on the Llys Y Fran website and social media pages.


  1. No refund issued if the booking is cancelled by the customer within 24 hours to the activity start time.


  1. The customer may choose to reschedule or receive a credit voucher if cancelled 24-48 hours prior to the activity start time.


  1. A full refund will be issued to the credit card used if cancelled 48+ hours prior to the activity start time.


  1. If we cancel any bookings for any reason at anytime, we will issue a full refund either to the credit card used or to a credit voucher; whichever the customer would prefer.


  1. If cancellation occurs due to a medical emergency including a positive covid test, we will refund to a credit voucher.
