Channel you inner Celtic Warrior and test your skills in the art of archery. This one hour instructor lead session will enable you to learn the traditional art of archery and compete against friends and family. Who will hit the most bullseyes?

This have a go session is ideal for people who would like to try their hand at archery. Whether you’re a family with children or a couple of mates, you’ll all enjoy this adventure.

The activity instructor will support you throughout to ensure everyone enjoys the session safely. Upon arrival please check in at the Visitor Centre.

The minimum age limit for this activity is 6 and above.

6 to 7 years old – Must be directly supervised in the same lane by a responsible adult (18+) whilst participating.

8 to 13 years old – Can participate but a responsible adult (18+) needs to be on hand whilst they are participating. The responsible adult could either be taking part in the activity themselves or spectating from outside the range.

14 to 17 years old – Can participate but a responsible adult (18+) needs to be on site and contactable whilst they are participating.

We reserve the right to cancel the session if the weather conditions are not suitable.

What to bring

Please wear sensible clothing and footwear. Flat shoes and long sleeves are recommended.

All required equipment for the activity will be fully provided.


Before travelling to site we ask that you follow the current government advice and do not travel if you have any of the following symptoms:

  1. A high temperature: this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  2. A new, continuous cough: this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  3. A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste: this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

To ensure the safety of our customers and staff we ask you to sign a health declaration confirming you are free of symptoms.

Llys-Y-Fran cancellation policy

  1. No refund if the booking is cancelled within 24 hours to the activity start time.
  2. Full refund credit voucher issued 24 - 48 hours prior to the activity start time.
  3. Full refund to credit card used 48+ hours prior to the activity start time.
  4. If the conditions on the day aren’t ideal but the activity is still taking place; the customer may choose to reschedule or a credit voucher will be issued if he/she/they feels it is unsuitable.
  5. If we cancel any bookings for any reason, we will issue a full refund either to the credit card used or to a credit voucher; whichever the organiser would prefer.
  6. If cancellation occurs due to a medical emergency including a positive covid test, we will refund to a credit voucher.
