    Learn to windsurf at Southampton Water Activities Centre on this practical 2 day course. During the course we aim to cover the fundamentals of windsurfing and by the end of the course you should be able to sail to a chosen point on the water and return to where you started.     Our instructors will guide you through the different elements of the Start Windsurfing course, beginning with a session on the land-based simulator before you head out onto the water.

    A course for complete novices looking to learn the basics of windsurfing. The course focuses on getting out on the water and understanding the principles of windsurfing and steering the board. It lays down the foundations needed to safely head out on the water, sail to a chosen point and return to the start location in light winds.

    Requirements

    No prior experience is necessary so this course is designed for anyone looking to get into windsurfing. You must be aged 16+

    What to bring

    Meals & Refreshments

    Participants should bring a packed lunch. Alternatively, lunch can be purchased from nearby shops and restaurants.

    Hot drinks and water are available from the Centre.

    Valuables

    We suggest leaving expensive valuables at home or in the car.

    1. Closed-toe shoes (essential)
    2. Swimwear for under wetsuit
    3. Towel
