PADDINGTON Regents Canal Canoe tour

Greater London

PRICING - Please enquire by phone before booking if unsure/unclear - 0203 393 5360

The childrens price is for any children over the age of 11. They will only need to be accompanied by one adult. If they are younger they must be accompanied by 2 adults using one of the add on options.

Children under 11 can be added using the add ons at a lower price. We have a few 3 and 4 seater canoes available suitable for a mix of adults and smaller children.

Join us for a guided Canoe trip starting in Paddington Basin. We will learn the basics of manoeuvring the canoes in the Basin before heading out along the Grand Union canal. We will paddle through Little Venice, the Maida Hill tunnel and then up the Regents canal towards Camden Lock via London zoo.

This canoeing session is suitable for beginners and adults of all abilities and ages. Children must be 11+ (6+ if in a canoe with 2 adults) The canoes are 2 or 3/4 seaters (3 adults or 4 if including children as the weight of 4 adults will make the canoe less stable).

You are welcome to bring your own hot drinks and snacks (alcohol is allowed but please stick to one alcoholic drink per participant!) Hand gel will be provided on site but please bring your own if you would like to use in the canoe - for eating snacks etc.

You'll be sharing your instructor/s, but you'll be sure to meet some interesting people to add to the experience. The session will start with a safety briefing and some land-based training before heading out on the water for a guided tour. You'll be able to ask for technique advice and tips along the way. Don't be shy!

Weather conditions

Whilst we endeavour to carry out our sessions, minimum numbers, instructor availability and weather conditions (If it is very windy or there is torrential rain meaning poor visibility) may mean we have to reschedule your lesson. We will always contact you to advise you as soon as we are able to discuss the options with you.

What to bring

PLEASE DRESS WARM! Windproof/Waterproof clothing is ideal! Avoid denim or cotton where possible (anything that can get heavy when wet and will not keep you warm). Thermals, fleeces/layers are great.

You are welcome to bring your own hot drinks and snacks (alcohol is allowed but please stick to one alcoholic drink per participant!) Hand gel will be provided on site but please bring your own if you would like to use in the canoe - for eating snacks etc.

You will need to shower / wash hands thoroughly after the session if you have fallen in or been splashed and need to ensure any open cuts are covered.

We will also need to know of any recent injuries prior to the session.

The session will start with some land-based training at our base in Paddington Basin, before getting onto water and piercing through the heart of London on the Grand Union Canal. We will pass through iconic London landmarks such as Little Venice. After stopping for a short break, we will return to base. You will have the opportunity to keep paddling during this break if preferred.

We are not able to accommodate customers’ weather preferences and we have run some of our best and memorable sessions in challenging conditions e.g. rain and/or wind.

Please share your concerns with us and we will be happy to discuss with you and make any reasonable adjustments to ensure you have an enjoyable experience.

* All our business clients are advised to take out insurance against cancellation of event. Individual clients may wish to consider exploring this option.
