Bushmills Distillery

Situated near to the Giant’s Causeway on the North coast in County Antrim, Bushmills is one of Ireland’s most historic and interesting distilleries. Although the area was granted a license to distil in 1608 the distillery itself can trace its origins back to around 1784 when a small and rather insignificant enterprise was set up. It is recognised as the oldest licensed distillery in the world today. It is currently owned by Casa Cuervo of Mexico. Bushmills Distillery uses water drawn from Saint Columb’s Rill, which is a tributary of the River Bush. Whiskey tasting is a must.
