  • Description

    Location:

The course will be held at Rickmansworth Aquadrome

This is a Paddle UK (British Canoeing) course - https://paddlesuptraining.com/courses/paddlesport-safety-and-rescue/

The course on the 21st April has 9 people currently booked on (9th April) so room for 7 more!

Paddlesport Safety and Rescue (PSR) replaces the Foundation Safety and Rescue (FSRT) course and is amid at providing paddlers with a range of rescue skills so that they can deal with situations/scenarios which could occur while they are on/in a Sheltered Water environment.

The course is open to anyone of any age but to enjoy the course to the full we recommend that participants are old enough to follow instructions and manage the physical demands of the day.

It is delivered to cover 6 modules over 6 tuition hours:

    Clothing and Equipment

    Safety frameworks

    Contact and Towing rescues

    Self-rescues

    Deep water rescues

    Reflection and development

We provide a longer course to allow for more practice and participation time.

There will be opportunities to develop and progress your rescue skills and meet like-minded people during the course.

This course is a pre requisite for Paddle UK (British Canoeing) Paddlesport Instructor and Paddle UK (British Canoeing) SUP Instructor awards along with some other Paddle UK (British Canoeing) Awards.

We can deliver this course at different dates and at a location to suit a pre organised group of participants. Maybe your club/society would like to put this course on for its members?

For more information please email : Thamespaddlboarding@gmail.com or speak with Jane on 07739104906.

We are able to make and provide some adaptations to help ensure that the course is open to as many participants as possible. We are keen to support those participants who feel they may require additional assistance in order to take part in the course. So do feel free to get in touch with us and ask for details.
