Paddlesport Safety and Rescue
HertfordshireThe course will be held in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.
This course will support you to explore and practice simple strategies and safe skills that provide you with the tools to solve common paddling issues in a sheltered water environment, providing peace of mind when venturing out onto the water.
The course is open to anyone of any age.
It will be delivered to cover 6 modules over 6 tuition hours:
Clothing and Equipment
Safety frameworks
Contact and Towing rescues
Self-rescues
Deep water rescues
Reflection and development
There will be opportunities to develop and progress your rescue skills and meet like-minded people during the course.
This course is a pre requisite for British Canoeing Paddlesport Instructor and British Canoeing SUP Instructor awards.

What to bring
Clothing suitable to be in the water for extended period of time. There is an option to hire dry suits when appropriate.

Cancellation Policy
We need five full days (120 hours) notice for a full refund if the customer is unable to attend. We are willing to discuss partial refunds in special situations where this minimum notice has not been provided.
Where we'll meet
Thames PaddleboardingThe course will run from BLYM, Rickmansworth Aquadrome, Rickmansworth. More details in the joining instructions including on site facilities. Courses may be cancelled or relocated at short notice if weather conditions are not suitable for the sessions.
