Join our weekly Thursday paddle on the Chichester Canal . Starting from the Canal Basin, we paddle the 1.5 miles to Hunston pontoon, stop off for a rest and then paddle back to the Basin. Those that wish can stay for a socially distanced drink at The Richmond pub. These are chilled paddles for all abilities of paddler who are able to manage the 3 mile round trip.

If you are unsure of your ability to manage the trip, we suggest booking in for a beginner lesson beforehand to gain the required skills.

Our Chichester Canal paddles are fully risk assessed and run with the authorisation and agreement of the Chichester Canal Trust and license fees are included. Participants are covered by our third party liability insurance during social paddles.

Basic paddle skills to be able to manage the 3 mile round trip.

If you have your own equipment, please bring that with you and be ready to leave at the start time.

If using our equipment, please arrive before the start time to get your equipment and change if necessary.

Please ensure that you are wearing warm clothing and that you are suitably dressed for the water temperature, depending on the time of year. A dry bag with change of clothes in case of falling in is advised. A dry bag can be hired for the evening for an additional £2.50. Wetsuits and boots are also available for the evening for an additional £5.00.

Meeting at Chichester Canal Basin we paddle 1.5 miles along the calm, sheltered canal then return for a drink at The Richmond pub .
