For those who deem themselves competent, we offer paddle board hire from our venue at Hunston, on the Chichester Canal.

£25 for two hours,

£5 for each additional hour.

All paddle board hire includes a canal license, board, paddle and buoyancy aid. A three hour paddle board hire, allows time to explore the canal and stop off at the canal basin for a drink and snack at the canal cafe or Richmond pub. Wetsuits and boots are available for an additional £5 per per person for the session and a 5 litre dry bag can be included for an additional £2.50. Please include these as add ons at the time of booking to ensure availability.

For new paddlers we would recommend a learn to paddle board lesson prior to hiring.

You deem yourself competent to paddle on the Canal environment without instruction.

A form of photo id to be left with the instructor for the duration of the hire.

A plastic or dry bag to take on the board with you if you wish to take any valuables or money to stop off at the canal basin. A 5litre dry bag can be hired for an additional £2.50 to keep your valuables dry and safe on the board, please request this at the time of booking.

If not hiring wetsuits, suitable clothing and footwear that you do not mind getting wet is recommended.

A paddle board hire will include a safety briefing to cover potential hazards and instruction on how to enter and exit the water. You will then be able to explore the canal independently for the duration of your hire. If paddlers stop at the canal basin, equipment, must not be left unattended.

Please note ; A hire only does not include any tuition and if this is required we would recommend booking in for a learn to paddleboard lesson.
