First timer?

Not to worry, you can just join our main swimming session, just make us aware when you arrive and we’ll tell you what you need to know or you can book on to either the Introduction To Open Water coached session, or a 1-2-1 coaching session if you would like some extra tips.

We do strongly recommend the use of a tow float for both wetsuit and non wetsuit swimmers.

Optional but highly recommended, you can hire a wetsuit on site. Please note these are now on a first come first serve basis.

Cancellation notice for this session is 72 hours - you must request a refund via Eola AND email the centre. No refunds will be given within 72 hours from the session. We cannot manually change or swap your swim so you will need to request a refund 72hrs prior to re book.

What to bring

  1. A brightly coloured swim hat! We don’t allow dark blue or black hats, simply because we cannot see you against the dock walls!
  2. Wetsuits are optional depending on water temperature but we would strongly recommend wearing one for your first time, they not only keep you warm but they keep you buoyant too!
  4. Swimwear (for under the wetsuit)
  5. Towel & Shampoo
  6. Carrier bag for your wet gear!

  1. Must be able to swim 300m of any stroke continuously in open water.
  2. Must wear a wetsuit in water temperature below 14 degrees or if you are experienced ‘skins’ swimmers you must have a tow float in temperatures under 14 degrees.
  3. Post 14 degrees, wetsuits are optional but HIGHLY recommended, wetsuits not only keep you warm but they add buoyance and help to keep you afloat.
  4. Brightly coloured Swim Hat – MUST.
  5. MUST have provided us with emergency contact details and agreed to our terms and conditions/health commitment statement.
  6. 12-16 year olds MUST swim with a competent adult (1 adult per 1 child). The exception to this is if you can provide a signed letter from a swimming coach (i.e Squad ability) that the child is suitable to train in open water, then that child can swim without an adult, this needs to be agreed prior to the session and an adult must be ‘on-site’.

  1. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes after your session start time.
  2. Sign in at reception
  3. Internal lockers are £1 return. We do have swim boxes and cages that can be used outside.
  4. Once signed in, you'll be given a band to wear whilst swimming.
  5. Head over to the water and start your swim!
  6. There's safety cover on the water, If you require any help please shout, give them a wave and float on your back. They'll come over to assist.
  7. Once you have finished, please ensure you give your band back.

£5 per adult
