  • Description

Open to all, our welcome sessions are aimed at those new to paddling, new to the area and those who want to join our loving and growing community. If you are interested in being a member, but want to find out more about our lovely spot on the River Medway first and meet the team and fellow members already living the paddle life with us, this is the perfect social for you! We enjoy a guided paddle from the cabin down our favourite river and back to experience what a Paddle Cabin social is all about. We will teach you the river etiquette, chat about water safety and share more with you about what life at the cabin is like. It is also the perfect way to help individuals find and connect with like minded local people with a shared love for paddle life. If you are single, you might want to check out our Single SUP Adventures, aimed at celebrating single life.

Our qualified SUP instructors and guides will keep you safe on the water. Club social activities change each week and could be a social paddle, paddle to the pub and back, a skills and drills session or a campfire, but we will let you know in advance what you have booked onto.

We welcome all abilities and speeds, beginners and confident paddlers alike, it's all about sharing our passion for the outdoors.

If you need to hire a board for our 'intro to the paddle life' evening (£15 extra), please book your ticket to this event here instead, otherwise, please bring your own board and ensure it is pumped up to be on the water in time for the event, so please arrive at least 30minutes early to get pumped up.

We can't wait to meet you!

    Requirements

    1) For your safety, we ask that you’re comfortable in the water

    2) 18+ years old

    3) Completed Pre-Paddle Questionnaire for every paddler

4)You must not, under no circumstances, be under the influence of alcohol or drugs prior to and during the session.

    What to bring

You will get wet so we suggest lightweight sports clothes with swimwear underneath. We do have a limited range of wetsuits that you can use if you feel more comfortable. You can paddle barefoot, in neoprene boots or old trainers, weather and water temperature dependent. Please do not bring any unnecessary valuables with you and bring a tuppa-ware or waterproof container for anything you want to take out on the water with you.

    1) Say hello to our Crew at the cabin and be greeted with a smile

    2) Get ready to hop on the water using your own gear, unless you are hiring ours

    3) Chat and Paddle (Chaddle) and meet fellow adventurers

    4) Lap up the benefits of being submerged in nature
