SUP Club Social

East Peckham

Club socials are perfect for a chaddle (chat and paddle) to meet and spend time with fellow local paddlers. Open to members and while it’s a relaxed social, you’ll be joined on the water by our fully qualified SUP team to ensure the Cabin Crew’s safety, but we do ask that you can paddle for 2 hours and have the ability to self-rescue. We welcome all member abilities and speeds and all follow our club social mantra: no-one gets left behind.

We will aim to be on the water for the start time listed, but gather together to chat you through the plan around 15 minutes before, so please ensure your board is pumped up and ready by then.

Every social is different! Think river journeys, skills, campfires, breakfasts, fancy dress, time trials, fundraisers, pizzas, SUP Sports Day, and many more. We send out a weekly email so you know what to expect each week and that's also when bookings for the next social become live.

Club Socials are free to attend and included in your membership but please book onto the Club Social each week so we know who to expect. Please cancel your booking if you can no longer attend.

What to bring

Please wear and bring your usual paddle gear - if you need any advice, please speak to Hayley or Jo before you join us.

Board hire is available for SUP Club for £15 and this includes your paddleboard, paddle, buoyancy aid, quick release belt, dry bag and phone case. Bookable here

Requirements

  1. All paddlers must be able to paddle comfortably for 2 hours at your own pace and be able to self-rescue
  2. For your safety, we ask that you’re comfortable in the water
  3. Our minimum age for this session is 18 years old
  4. All paddlers to complete a medical form prior to their session
  5. You must not, under no circumstances, be under the influence of alcohol or drugs prior to and during the session. 

Itinerary

  1. Say hello to our Crew at the cabin and be greeted with a smile  
  2. Get ready to hop on the water using your own gear, unless you are hiring ours
  3. Chat and Paddle (Chaddle) with the crew
  4. Lap up the benefits of being submerged in nature
  5. Pop back to the cabin to pack up 
  6. Some are themed sessions, wet sessions, fundraiser nights, skills nights, campfire nights.

Cancellations

Paddle Cabin Cancellation Policy

Paddle Cabin sessions and board hire

  1. More than 7 days notice: We will provide you with a credit voucher valid for 12 months, or a free transfer/reschedule to a different session. If neither are suitable, we will issue you a full refund.
  2. 7 days notice or less: The booking is fully chargeable. However, we will do our best to fill your place, and if we do, we will transfer your booking at no cost or give you a credit voucher valid for 12 months.


 All day training courses (British Canoeing/SUPTA)

  1. More than 30 days notice: We will provide you with a credit voucher valid for 12 months, or a free transfer/reschedule to a different session. If neither are suitable, we will issue you a full refund.
  2. 30 days notice or less: The course is fully chargeable. However, we will you our best to fill your place, and if we do, we will transfer your booking at no cost or give you a credit voucher valid for 12 months. 


Cabin Trips

  1. More than 7 days notice: We will provide you with a credit voucher valid for 12 months, or a free transfer/reschedule to a different trip. If neither are suitable, we will issue you a full refund.
  2. 7 days notice or less: The booking is fully chargeable and no refund, credit voucher nor transfer will be given.


Cabin Adventures

  1. If you cancel before paying the full balance of the trip: Your deposit is non-refundable and payment of the remaining balance is not required.
  2. If you cancel after paying the full balance of the trip: No refund will be given.


All cancellations must be provided in writing. For more information and for cancellations relating to covid-19, please check out our terms and conditions.


Cancellation by the Paddle Cabin


  1. On the occasion of bad weather and conditions, or if we fail to meet the minimum numbers to run the activity, we may have to reschedule or cancel your activity.
  2. We will always try and do this 48 hours in advance, with a minimum of 24 hours notice, with the exception of multi day Cabin Adventures, where we will give a minimum of 7 days notice.
  3. Your safety is our priority so if the conditions are not appropriate for your booking to be conducted safely, we will prioritise an alternative location for your booking. 
  4. If we have to cancel your booking, we will rearrange it to a future date, or offer a credit note valid for 12 months. If neither option is suitable, we will refund your booking in full.
  5. If the conditions on the day aren’t ideal but the session, training course or member activity is still taking place because the Paddle Cabin deem it safe to run, you will not be eligible for a refund.
  6. For Cabin Adventures, we will strive to stick to our itinerary, however we may need to make alterations depending on weather conditions, which may mean changes to a planned activity to an alternative. No refunds will be offered for changes to the itinerary.
