Family bushcraft


Fire lighting & shelter building fun for all the family aged 5+!

Are you bursting to get outdoors on a family adventure and have some fun?! Join us for a bushcraft event in our beautiful woodland in Bridgend - and put your family's survival skills to the test! To finish, we'll toast your success with marshmallows over the campfire.

Tickets are £15 for one child including one adult.

You can add on a second adult for an additional £5.

What to bring

  1. Warm clothing and a waterproof jacket
  2. Flat, closed shoes - boots, trainers, wellies
  3. Bottled drink


  1. For kids aged 5+
  2. Children must be supervised. One adult supervising up to 3 children
  3. Participants need to be able to walk within an uneven woodland, stand, kneel, bend and lift items to be able to do the activities
  4. Completed consent form (for children and adults) - if you have a medical condition please seek advice if you're able to participate before buying a ticket


  1. Arrive 10 minutes before your event starts (no earlier please)
  2. Complete consent forms if not already done so
  3. Safety briefing
  4. Work as a family to build a natural shelter and see if it passes our waterproof test!
  5. Have a go at different ways to light a fire - and see if you can pass our family challenge to light a fire and keep it going
  6. Toast marshmallows over the campfire to celebrate your success!

Below is a summary:

Covid-19 related cancellations (private group events and individual ticketed events)

If you or anyone in your household has symptoms of coronavirus, you must not attend and please contact us as soon as possible. You will be offered to transfer your booking to another event (within 12 months) or to receive a gift voucher valid for 12 months.

If Bushcraft Adventures has to close (e.g. due to a lockdown) or local lockdown restrictions prevent you from coming, you will be offered either a full refund or to transfer your booking.

Cancellations made by You

We recognise that occasionally you may wish to change your mind.

The following cancellation terms and conditions and charges apply (the number of days referred to does not include the date of the event, which is day 0)

Individual tickets for open group events

  1. Refunds or ticket transfers to another event can only be made 14 days or more in advance of the event you have booked on to
  2. This means that tickets purchased for an event that takes places within 13 days of purchase are non-refundable and non-transferable
  3. Refunds or ticket transfers to another event cannot be made if we receive your cancellation or transfer request 13 days or less before the event. You can give your ticket to someone else to attend.

Private group event bookings

  1. Full refund if cancelled 4 weeks (28 days or more) before the date of your event.
  2. If we receive your cancellation request 27 days or less before the date of your event, 100% of the payment will either be forfeited or outstanding payment due. If a booking is made for an event taking place within the next 27 days, full payment is required at the time of booking and is non-refundable.
  3. You can reduce your group size up until 2 weeks (14 days or more) before the date of your event and get a full refund for those individual places – please note: group size cannot be reduced to below the minimum group number.

We send detailed directions including a google map pin in your email booking confirmation. You need to be able to drive to our location, and please car share where you're able to.
