This Paddle Discover Course will cover the skills you need to improve your paddling, in a craft of your choice. Equipment is provided but you can bring your own.

This course is working towards the Paddle Discover Award, the candidate may not achieve the award in this timeframe. We also recommend a minimum age of 12 years for this course.

If you can't make any of the dates, send us an email, and we shall see if we can arrange another course depending on our demand.

1. The participant should be comfortable on and around the water, please let us know if you have any concerns surrounding this.
2. The participant should be able to partake in physical activity for this period of time, please check with your doctor or call us with any concerns.

Please come prepared for your time on the water. We recommend casual, sporty clothing in layers so you can adjust to the weather. A fleece with waterproofs are great if you have them, if not we have some tops/trousers that you can borrow to wear over your clothes for the session. Please bring shoes that you do not mind getting wet and a change of clothes for 'just in case'.

Please bring any medication you may need and ensure staff are aware of this before your session.

This course will work through the British Canoeing Paddle Discover Award with the aim to achieve this by the end of the session. You should have some prior experience before completing this course.
