Bespoke sunrise and sunet surf sessions are for individuals, couples, friends, parent and child and family groups that would like their own tailored lesson.
If you want to start your day learning to surf whilst experiencing the beauty of the first light of the day, then why not try a dawn surf lesson?
Beat the crowds and experience Fistral at its most beautiful. Or if early mornings are not your thing, then maybe a surf at dusk is for you. Make the most of the longer warmer evenings whilst experiencing the sunet from the most prime location - the water!
What to bring
Requirements
An eagerness to get stuck in is the main requirement. Pool swimming skills don't translate in any meaningful way to surfing.
Fistral Beach is gently sloping and we teach in standing depth water.
Itinerary
Your friendly surf coach will be waiting to meet you at the school, and will provide you with your wetsuit. We have changing rooms on site.
Once suited, it's a short walk down to the beach with your coach for a quick theory session on the sand, and then the surfing experience begins. Non-participating family members are welcome to come along and be present and watch from the shore.
Your surf coach will help you get as many waves as you want and develop your skills as much as possible in the time available, the work rate is up to you.
After the session, you'll head back up to the school with your coach, get changed back into your land-based clothing and can look forward to relaxing for the rest of the day with a post-surf glow radiating from yourself
Cancellations
Cancellation and Changes Policy
CLIENT CANCELLATIONS
- Full refund if the booking is cancelled at least a full 72h prior to the activity start time
- Rain, wind, choppy water, cloud cover etc...are all part of the Cornish surf experience and unless the beach is RED FLAGGED your activity will go ahead. Any cancellations due to adverse weather or sea state rest entirely with Surf Sanctuary.
COVID:
- Full refund due to government mandated lockdown only
- For ALL OTHER SITUATIONS please see cancellation policy above. We recommend you take out travel insurance to protect yourself against losses due to personal illness, track and trace alerts, positive tests, self isolation and anything else COVID related that falls outside of government mandated lockdown
CHANGES
- Requests to change the date of your booking or change the number of participants can me made up to 72 hours before the activity. Changes are subject to availability.
- Requests for ANY CHANGES less than 72 hours prior to the activity are very likely to be politely declined. Refunds will not be issued. Refer to CLIENT CANCELLATION policy above.
