Tuesday Evening Session

Llandudno

Every Tuesday evening from 6 til 7.30pm you can come and have a board or ski for anyone intermediate and above.

Please note that the payment for the Tuesday sessions will now all be done via the eola link, which will include slope use and coaching contributions. Previously you would have to pay the coaching contribution via eola and the slope use to the slope - not any longer, just all through the eola link as of now.

You will need to be a member of the North Wales Snowsports Club to participate in this session. If you are not a current member then you can renew your membership. You can also join as a Temporary Member for this session (see below)

Please note:

  1. Participants must be able to turn, stop, control direction and speed, and use the lift, at least from the middle of the slope.
  2. Proficient parents are welcome to bring their young ones with them and look after them whilst on the slope and give them the support they may need, so long as they can ski or board proficiently already. Our coaches can offer advice where needs be, and upon request.

COVID GUIDELINES: Please do not attend if you or any household members have any symptoms, have been tested positive for Covid, or have been in close physical contact with someone who has tested positive, unless you have subsequently tested negative yourself (NB. refunds can be issued in genuine cases where COVID is a contributing factor, or in the event of further restrictions which mean we cannot run the session).

Membership

We are currently reviewing our membership model to move it online.

For the time being previous memberships (21-22) will be valid, any new members will be considered Temporary members until we are able to implement the new system. Hopefully by the start of October.

Visit our website for more information https://northwalessnowsports.webador.co.uk, or speak to one of our Committee or coaches at one of our sessions or events for more information.

If you wish to contact us to make further enquiries then please do so via our Facebook page - North Wales Snowsports Club | Facebook.

What to bring

You can bring your own ski or snowboard gear if preferred, or you can use the hire equipment from the Llandudno centre, included in the price, should you prefer.

You must bring (your own) gloves, and wet weather gear is advised in case of rain. Bare in mind there are also sprinklers on the slope to consider.

Helmets are advised for younger users, but aren’t such a bad idea for more mature participants either.

Requirements

You will need to be intermediate or above, able to stop, turn, control direction and speed and use the lift, at least from the middle of the slope.

Parents of any children under the age of 16 are expected to remain at the centre, within sight of the slope or make suitable arrangements otherwise, in case they are required.

The supervising coach will reserve the right to ask participants to leave the slope should their ability not be up to the required standard, and / or potentially be at imminent risk of harming themselves or others.

Itinerary

Coaching is available throughout the session. Please introduce yourself to the NWSC coaches present, and they will discuss best advice from there.
