Tuesday Evening Rec Session

Every Tuesday evening from 6 til 7.30pm you can come and have a board or ski for anyone intermediate and above.

Attendees will be required to pay the Llandudno centre directly for the slope use on arrival (at the reduced NWSC members preferential rate). You must also sign in there, and be issued with any kit you may require.

The Club Rates for use of the slope are:

4 - 7yrs : £7

8 - 13yrs : £8

13+ : £9.50

+ There is a surcharge of £3 per person for this session (due to be increased to £5 in the New Year (2022)), payable online here to NWSC when booking.

NB. The preferential slope rates apply to any club member, for any time you may wish to make use of the slope for recreational use when available to do so. This is usually for a 1.5 hr session, unless otherwise stated for specific club sessions.

Please note:

  1. There is no structured lessons for this session but coaching is available and provided as and when required and upon request.
  2. Participants must be able to turn, stop, control direction and speed, and use the lift, at least from the middle of the slope.
  3. Proficient parents are welcome to bring their young ones with them and look after them whilst on the slope and give them the support they may need, so long as they can ski or board proficiently already. Our coaches can offer advice where needs be, and upon request.

You will need to be a member of the North Wales Snowsports Club to participate in this session. If you are not a current member then you can renew your membership. You can also join as a Temporary Member for this session (see below)

COVID GUIDELINES: Please do not attend if you or any household members have any symptoms, have been tested positive for Covid, or have been in close physical contact with someone who has tested positive, unless you have subsequently tested negative yourself (NB. refunds can be issued in genuine cases where COVID is a contributing factor, or in the event of further restrictions which mean we cannot run the session).

If you are not a member of the NWSC then you can join here.

Annual membership (September to September) is £20 for the first family of household member, and then £7.50 for each subsequent household member.

Please follow the link to the online membership form in the email you will receive confirming your booking, or here

You can also join as a temporary member for £5 for each individual session, should you prefer initially. Select the Temporary Member Add-on when booking.

Please visit our website for more information, or speak to one of our Committee at one of our sessions or events for more information.

What to bring

You can bring your own ski or snowboard gear if preferred, or you can use the hire equipment from the Llandudno centre, included in the price, should you prefer.

You must bring (your own) gloves, and wet weather gear is advised in case of rain. Bare in mind there are also sprinklers on the slope to consider.

Helmets are advised for younger users, but aren’t such a bad idea for more mature participants either.

You will need to be intermediate or above, able to stop, turn, control direction and speed and use the lift, at least from the middle of the slope.

Parents of any children under the age of 16 are expected to remain at the centre, within sight of the slope or make suitable arrangements, in case they are required.

The supervising coach will reserve the right to ask participants to leave the slope should their ability not be up to the required standard, and / or potentially be at imminent risk of harming themselves or others.

There will be no formal instruction but coaches will be on hand to supervise and give advice upon request and as required.
