Meet in the early morning to bathe in the sounds of the dawn chorus and the waters of the River Tweed

Description

Come and join a small group for a magical spring morning. Up early with the lark we will walk to our swim spot in the company of the dawn chorus. Taking time to listen before we swim, see which bird calls we can identify before swimming in one of the pools of the Upper River Tweed. We will dip in the river somewhere between Stobo and Drumelzier, exact location to be be advised closer to the time depending on conditions.


After we'll share a snack and a wild foraged kelly kettle tea.


If river levels are too high for a safe swim another location will be offered.





Requirements

Previous experience of wild swimming is required and you must be comfortable to walk over uneven ground.


What to bring

Personal swim kit, with plenty of warm layers for afterwards.


Suitable footwear for walking on uneven terrain.


Water shoes are essential.


A snack to share.


Itinerary

We will walk a short distance, less than half a mile, to our river pool where we will swim. After there will be time for a wild foraged Kelly kettle tea and shared snack.
